JUVÉDERM® XC is a collection of natural, lidocaine-infused hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers. Smooth, malleable, and long-lasting, Juvéderm® XC fillers provide versatile tools to finely tailor facial enhancement and help create a youthful, well-rested look.
JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA XC injectable gel is rated to last up to 24 months. Used to help contour the face: lift lateral cheeks, project chin, define jawline, replace lost volume and support shifting fat pads.
JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE XC injectable gel is rated to last up to 18 months. On-label use: correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds). Off-label use: build and shape lips, correct concave temples, volumize and shape face with cannula (blunt flexible introducer that helps prevent bruising).
JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA XC injectable gel is rated to last up to 12 months. On-label use: injection into the lips for lip augmentation and for correction of perioral lines. Off-label use: fill tear troughs, fine lines and wrinkles on face, neck and décolleté.
JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC injectable gel is rated to last up to 12 months. On-label use: injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Off-label use: build and contour jawline and chin.

Continuing Education
Latest techniques, safety measures, and aesthetic pearls are acquired and shared at national aesthetic conferences. Typically, these are attended in person; lately, via Zoom or a webinar.
Here with Dr. Arthur Swift, a plastic surgeon and cosmetic injectables expert from Montreal. My brave model and a friend before and immediately after her Juvéderm session. We used three Juvéderm Voluma to achieve a nice mid-face lift and one Juvéderm Vollure to smooth naso-labial folds and marionette lines.
Cannula
I frequently use a cannula (Microcannula) to place dermal fillers as a safer and less painful option. A cannula is a flexible tool with a sounded tip that smoothly navigates through the Sub-Q layer without cutting through vessels and damaging tissue. With less punctures and fewer entry points, a cannula is a great tool to fill tear troughs, naso-labial folds and marionette lines; plump up hands, or fill any other areas where we want to decrease the chance of bruising.
