PDO Thread Lift

PDO Brow Lift: before and 2 weeks post-treatment.

PDO Thread Lift is a non-invasive procedure that instantly lifts and tightens skin of the face (brows, mid-face, jowls, neck) with a relatively short recovery time. PDO (Polydioxanone) threads are surgical sutures made of synthetic biodegradable material and can have a smooth, barbed, or mesh finish. They come in different gauge sizes and length, and are introduced subdermally via a cannula to produce the desired effect. PDO smooth threads do not produce a dramatic lifting effect; they are placed in areas with thin, loose skin and help synthesize new collagen production and thicken the dermis in the treated area.

Once implanted, PDO threads produce immediate and long-term rejuvenation effects:

  • Instant Skin Lifting through mechanical means

  • Skin Tightening by contracting fat tissue

  • Cellular Renewal through collagen stimulation and neovascularization (increased functional microvascular networks) to improve skin texture and elasticity

PDO thread treatment results will last about 7-12 months. While PDO threads will reabsorb within 4-6 months, lifted facial contours will remain for another 3-6 months due to improved skin microcirculation and new collagen formation all along the PDO thread length.

PDO threads are manufactured in South Korea and PDO Thread Lift is becoming one of our most requested lifting procedures.
